If you enjoyed Newton’s “Three Laws of Graduation” (1, 2, 3), you’ve got to check out the current series, “An Introduction to Quantum Gradnamics” (starts here).

By the way, one of my favourite things about Cham’s “Newton’s Laws” is not just how he rewrites the 3 laws but how he refers to previous work by Galileo and Decartes, and further work by Einstein.

So in this series we have reference to Ernest Rutherford’s gold foil experiment – the wonderfully ironic thing about this – is that the experiment was conducted not by Rutherford but a postdoc (Geiger) and an undergrad (Marsden).
