Below are two helpful talks from Mark Dever and IX Marks on service and sermon preparation. I found the first talk especially useful in thinking about my service leading. There are issues of context and denomination to translate, but that’s worth doing. They would provide a good kick-off point for discussion of how to prepare and lead services.

    On Service preparation, I also found “Worship by the Book”, a collection of articles bound in a book and edited by Carson, a useful starting point to think about the theology of worship and what we include in a church meeting. Some interesting stuff in there by Tim Keller.
