Yahoo! TV Fall 2006 Preview

Cool. Now I can check-out what’s happening in my favorite series next season (Lost, Grey’s Anatomy) and some of the new shows, such as:

  • Heroes
  • Jericho
  • Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
You can even watch whole episodes online for certain shows.

Did you actually get to watch them? When I try, I get “Due to licensing restrictions, this clip is not available outside the U.S. at this time.

Looking at the site again, you’re right you can’t watch the episodes, but all the clips seem to work.

I found the site looking for previews/reviews of Jericho. And that site said you could watch the first episode – I presumed the collection of clips equalled the whole episode.

I am sure you guys are aware of this but jericho was the first ever television series to simultaneously air on Australian and American TV. The others who knows when we get them…

Luke, saw the ad, even looked at the preview on the CBS site… Jericho just looks like… well… far-fetched. I was going to say stupid.

I don’t it’s far fetched thus far – tho the prison escapees was a bit much. The big test for me will be how long the fallout lasts for.

Coincidentally I’ve been doing some reading about atmospheric nuclear testing and the premise of them being able to see the mushroon cloud without being immediately affected is completely plausible. Las Vegas got its first tourist boom as people came to watch the tests from the city. Wind direction and strength will be key wrt fallout. Then they should get refugees in an episode or two.

For me it’s one of those great “what if?” premises. Plus there’s the intrigue of the central character which might be good; might be not.

I agree totally with the prison bus my eyes rolled over when i saw that… However the show had one positive effect on me. For the next two days i was reading everything wikipedia had on the topic of nuclear fallout. I dont know how plausable the birds were either unless it was a result of the blast… Heck what do i know i was a youth worker now im a primary school teacher.

A bunch of nerds talking about sci-fi TV shows over the internet. Yes, TAC really DOES need to get out and socialise more…
