Winds of change blowing

They’ve swept through Washington.
Hopefully they’ll reach Canberra soon.

Shhh! Don’t let Danny know! :)

...and let in incompetance, you gotta be joking. No change for the sake of change thanks.

Not for the sake of change Tim, for the sake of Elijah’s future.

The Coalition still has it’s head in the sand about the stress on our natural resources and the environment.

Pete, are you saying that the federal government should take a climate change message from the elections in the united states? I would have thought the message would be about the war in Iraq, if anything. In any case, people in Australia have their own minds, they are not determined by this fictional ‘wind’ you say is blowing elsewhere in the world. It seems you are putting alot of faith in the power of ‘the state’ to fix the problems of the world.

Doh! Told you not to let on to Danny!

Sounds like change for the sake of change when you consider that the federal opposition is no better. You really think they’ll produce on a “future for Elijah?”

If you want the winds of change to blow then blow in around March 07

Danny, I’m not saying the Democratic win was about global warming. It was about the moral and political corruption in the GOP and the “stay the course”/”don’t cut and run” strategy on Iraq.

Tim asked why I wanted a change in federal govt – my reasons among other things are for a better strategy on global warming and on resource.

I’m going to our annual conference this week. I’m planning to write something on my problems with the federal governments strategy on global warming after that.

Danny, I do believe in states; I think God does too.

God does not trust in the state, he calls us to put our trust in Him. (Psalm 146:3-4 and Psalm 118:8-9)

Pete, so are you saying the ‘wind’ is a general change of government, not a wind related to any particular issue? This would connect the disconnect.

Regarding a change of federal government in Australia, are you happier with the policies of the Labor party? Do they have policies?

Finally, how do you do it Pete? Such a small post but so many comments.

Hey Pete, lost your email address and can’t find it on this site. Please drop me a line.

What is One Nation’s policy on the environment?

The winds of change seem to have been redirected through the Labor party rather than the Government.

I have no problem with them both changing.
